Facilitating Balance was set up to promote balanced living through an integrated holistic approach by Dr. Mudassar Hussain, a London trained General Practitioner with an interest in psychiatry and the complementary system of Ayurvedic medicine. He is a full member of the Ayurvedic Practitioners Association (UK) and works in London as a General Practitioner and Independent Mental Health doctor.
He has introduced and developed these strategies in a number of clinical and non-clinical settings to aid stress management and health promotion for people with differing needs.
In clinical settings, these strategies have been taught to and utilised by patients and staff within National Health Service mental health services and general practice in London, in the obstetric service at Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, London, and in mental health services in Melbourne, Australia.
These techniques have brought relief to people suffering from a range of problems, including: stress, depression, anxiety states, irritability, post traumatic stress disorder, phobias, fatigue, benzodiazepine dependence, eating disorders, terminal illness, inflammatory conditions, weight gain and irritable bowel.
